I’ve mentioned this book quite a bit on this blog. It was one of my best purchases of last year. I just came across it again while doing my layout research. The cover of the book is a perfect example of extremely well considered design. It’s so hard to pull off the perfect blend of busyness and minimalism that they’ve managed to capture. There’s uite a few different typefaces and overall the whole thing should be a mess but some how they’ve managed to reign it in and make it something that works exquisitely well, I think it’s the colour scheme that does it (and obviously a very talented designer)
