I never really got the hype about Vampire weekend, they were ok but nothing worth getting that excited about. But with the new album out and them playing at New Slang tomorrow, I’ve been listening to the new album quite a bit this week. I still cant work out if I like it or not though. it’s definitely not the route I was hoping for. It’s more afro-beat than nice simple guitar pop. But the more I listen to it the more it kind of grows on me. This song is definitely my favourite song on the record, It sounds like all the songs from The Royal Tennenbaums soundtrack rolled into one track.
