I find it really hard imagining anyone else other than David Tennant as the doctor, I cant exactly say I grew up with him (He became the doctor when I was 15) but he is the only doctor I’ve ever actually watched. Wasn’t a fan of Christopher Eccleston and as much as I would love to watch the classic series I’ve never got round to it. so with David finnishing off his run today it was a sad day. Also quite exciting though.
This trailer looks really promising. It’s really obvious just from this short trailer that Steven Moffat has taken over from Russell T. Davis, it’s all alot darker and grittier, Stevens episodes where always my favourite so to be honest I cant wait to see what he does. I’m expecting a much edgier darker Doctor Who this time round and it seems like Mat Smith might be the right man to pull it off. Also I’m not sure if it’s the BBC fancying it up for the trailer but the whole thing looks a hell of a lot more cinematic than the previous series, the one fall back of Doctor Who has always been the lack of budget and the completely inability to get convincing background actors. But some of the shots in this trailer look almost cinematic.
